The Washington Ballet, led by Artistic Director Edwaard Liang, invites dancers to audition for both The Washington Ballet Company and The Washington Ballet Studio Company for the 2026–27 season. Rooted in its mission to bring the joy and artistry of dance to the nation’s capital and the world’s stage, TWB is dedicated to presenting outstanding ballet, providing exceptional training, and serving the community through education and engagement. The Washington Ballet Company The Washington Ballet Company is TWB’s AGMA-represented professional company, performing a wide repertory of classical, neoclassical, and contemporary works by nationally and internationally recognized choreographers. The Washington Ballet Studio Company The Washington Ballet Studio Company is a non-union, pre-professional training, apprentice, and performance program for advanced dancers preparing for professional careers. Studio Company dancers receive high-caliber training and have opportunities to perform alongside the TWB Company throughout the season, gaining meaningful stage experience within a professional company environment. TWB Company dancers and Studio Company dancers appear in productions on major stages across the Washington, DC–metro region, including the Warner Theatre, Capital One Hall, the Filene Center at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Harman Hall, Dupont Underground, and THEARC. This integrated approach reflects TWB’s commitment to artistic excellence, rigorous training, and the development of the next generation of ballet artists.
