The Théâtre du Corps is a dance company founded in 2004 by Marie Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault, now based in Alfortville (94) near Paris. Every year, the Théâtre du Corps recruits apprentice dancers (from 18 to 25 years old) who join the company for two years in order to perform on stage. At the same time, they receive complete, challenging and free dance training at the Pietragalla-Derouault Training Center. Contemporary, hip-hop, classical, floor barre, theater, acrobatics, clowning, and voice work are among the skills developed during this multidisciplinary training with renowned professionals. The competition is open to candidates who have advanced technical skills in at least one choreographic style: classical, contemporary, or hip-hop. Candidates must have good vocal control. Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old.
