Students interested in majoring in Dance at Towson University must participate in an audition as part of the application process. Fall auditions will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 and on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The audition process begins promptly at 9:00am and will end at approximately 1:00pm. Check-in for the audition begins at 8:45am in the lobby of the Center for the Arts Building. Students will receive more detailed information about the audition once they have completely registered by submitting the online registration application. paying the audition fee using the link provided. and emailing a headshot, preferably in jpeg format, to rcole@towson.edu in order to complete the registration process. The Dance Audition process is the best way to learn about the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography at Towson University. On the audition day, you will have an opportunity to speak with current dance faculty and with dance major students. The Department of Dance chairperson, Catherine Horta-Hayden, and the dance faculty look forward to meeting you to assess your present level of technical and artistic ability, and readiness for the B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography at TU.
