Description
The Vienna State Opera Ballet School is considered the first address for ballet education in Austria. It offers comprehensive practical and theoretical stage dance training, with special emphasis on the physical and emotional well-being of the students. The Ballettakademie accepts students (10 - 18 years old) from Austria and abroad. In the seven ballet studios named after great personalities of Viennese dance history - Franz Hilverding, Jean Georges Noverre, Fanny Elssler, Grete Wiesenthal, Erika Hanka, Willy Dirtl and Rudolf Nurejew – where currently 136 students between the ages of 10 and 18 are being trained.
