West Australian Ballet has an exciting opportunity for young male performers to be involved in the upcoming season of Dracula at Festival Theatre, Adelaide, from Friday 17 April to Wednesday 22 April 2026. We require boys who are confident stage performers, with dance experience a benefit but not necessary. Based on the gothic horror novel by Bram Stoker, Dracula is a multi-award winning ballet, choreographed by one of the world’s most highly awarded choreographers, Krzysztof Pastor. Successful applicants will gain valuable experience as part of our professional ballet production for a roster of performances during the Adelaide season. Applicants must be available for all rehearsals and performances as indicated on the schedule at the time of the auditions. Please note that this production contains depictions of adult themes, including violence, blood, medical settings relating to mental health, partial nudity, abuse, grief and death (including infant death). While the child artist’s exposure to these themes while participating in the performance is limited and managed by WAB’s Artistic staff, some scenes that feature the children also include adult female professional dancers wearing sheer, partially see-through bodices. If you have any concerns about the above ahead of registration, you are welcome to contact our Artistic team at the details below for further information. Requirements: • Boys aged 7 years and older. Between 120cm – 130cm in height at the time of audition (costume requirement). • Boys aged 14 years and under, up to 150cm in height at the time of audition (costume requirement).
