For Students ages 9- 14. Audition required. Miami City Ballet School offers a two-week program designed for dedicated young dancers who are seeking a challenging summer dance experience. This program gives students ages 9 and up the chance to train with MCB’s renowned faculty and experience the highest quality of dance education. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be exposed to MCB School’s curriculum and experience first-hand what it is like to train at Miami City Ballet School. The Young Dancer Intensive program consists of a carefully designed curriculum to support each technical level to provide the highest caliber of training in a creative and artistic environment. Students will participate in well-rounded selection of classes based on their technical level. Classes are held five days per week (Monday through Friday). On the first day of the program, all students will participate in a level placement class and program orientation. Students can expect up to 19 – 20 hours of dance instruction per week (each week may vary with the schedule).
