AUDITIONS BY DVD OR ONLINE VIDEO SUBMISSIONS The deadline for receiving DVD auditions is May 31, 2025. DVD AND ONLINE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Barre Work (10 minutes maximum) *MUST REPRESENT BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES Plies Tendus (both legs) Rond-de-jambe à terre Developpé Grands battements Centre Work (10 minutes maximum) Tendus Pirouette en dehors Pirouette en dedans Adage Small allegro (1) Moving grande allegro (1) Batterie step (1) * submit Pointe work if applicable Stretching (3 minutes maximum) Splits (all 3) Frog (front and back) Sitting: legs extended front (feet pointed and flexed/torso upright/forward bend) NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE SDI: email notification within a few weeks after an audition has been reviewed. Full-Time PTP: Decisions and notifications are made during the final week of SDI.

Audition Description

Acceptance to the full-time (September to June) Professional Training Program (PTP), is through the two-step process. Step 1 is an audition for the Summer Dance Intensive (SDI). Auditions are held at various locations starting in the fall. With an acceptance into the SDI, students are then being considered for the full time program. Step 2 of the audition process is the 3-week SDI, where students are evaluated in all classes to be considered for the full time PTP.
